Surrounded by music from a very young age, Rekha’s love for singing began under the strong influence of her mother. Exploring both Western and Indian classical and light forms of music, Rekha has spent the last ten years performing across the world on many prestigious platforms. She has also trained in semi-classical Indian music at Suresh Wadkar’s music school in Mumbai as well as participated in musical workshops held by the BBC. She was selected to perform at the Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Alchemy Festival by Kuljit Bhamra and was accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra. Rekha has recently collaborated with Arjun Artist, Preeya Kalidas and Naughty Boy on a variety of commercial and pop songs, and her vocals feature in Gurinder Chadha’s latest production Desi Rascals on Sky Living.
